Somebody

Sarina has become obsessed with somebody. The other day we went to the preschool where I volunteer at Ben's school. She wanted to play scissors so we sat down at the art table. She began to complain that "somebody take Beano's scissors." I was assuring her that no one would do such a thing when a little boy walked by and she yelled, "No somebody! Don't take Beano's scissors!" That was one surprised little boy.

She has also learned No Way! When I ask her to do something she says "NO WAY Mommy!" If she doesn't like my clothing choice for her that day she says No Way. Actually lately she has been choosing her own clothes and getting herself dressed. While I don't often agree with her choices I'm glad to let her do it. Such a refreshing change. I still get Ben dressed in the morning if I want him to be on time to school. Then he complains on the weekend that I won't help him. That boy is lazy!

Ethan's new favorite exclamation to instructions or requests or revalations or news of drudgery is: "WHAT?!?! You're no fun!"
