Event Filled Weekend

We had a busy and FUN filled weekend here. Did the Tour De Cure on Saturday with the kids. We got a late start due to the rain but it cleared up and was a beautiful day. I am very proud to say that I rode 12 MILES with Ben on the tag-a-long. Whew! What a ride. It was hilly but more like rolling hills. Ben did ok. He did practice riding no handed and turned around a lot to see where Mark and Sarina were which made the bike wobble more than a little. He also thought it was great fun to drag his hand on the tire to slow us down. Really appreciated that on the hills. After a while I gave up yelling at him and just went with the flow. The days was so nice and after a while I was so impressed with myself and my riding prowess I just took it in stride.

Then on Sunday we had the BIG party at Chuck E Cheese. All I can say is OMG! Ben was in heaven and Sarina was completely out of control running from one thing to the next. She is a new Chuck E fan now. Pray for me. I'm sure she will be asking to go back often now just like her brother. I really didn't like the idea of the party there but Ben had his heart set on it. It turned out to be great fun although the day was so nice I was missing our old Bikes, Balls, and Bubbles party we had at home in years past. I ran around like a nut trying to get all kinds of pictures of each child only to find that half of them did not turn out! Sigh. But here are a few of Ben and Sarina.

And Ethan even commented, upon seeing these photos, "Ben had his party in Portland??"

In my defense, Ben was on the tag along and was supposed to be peddling.

I had Sarina in the Burly, which of course had the extras (jackets and snacks).

If anyone wants to sponsor me in my 32 mile ride (no Burly) this Saturday for Childrens Cancer (http://maccfund.kintera.org/trek100-2009/mgrandau).
