In From the Cold

So today marks day two of cancelled school and....I was going to say things are going along just fine but I just had to take a break to chase Ben down and take some cookies away from him. He is now confined to his room so is upstairs determined to wake his sister. He says he stole the cookies because he is bored. I told him that when I complained that I was bored my mother made me clean my room. He declared that a lie. Ha.

I'm so filled with joy that the kids will have Monday off school too for a teacher's in-service day because you know they just have not had enough time home. Can't they cancel the in-service due to good weather and send the kids.

What a surprise Sarina is crying now. Only 2 more hours until work. Yoohoo!

LATER:

Ok they are entertained dancing to dinosaur Christmas songs. Ben dances by spinning in a circle. This weather has not been kind to us. I found a sitter this morning and went for coffee with friends so that of course means I had a danish at the coffee house (Just say NO! are you kidding me). then in a moment of insanity because all the gyms were closed we took the kids to McDonald's to run off some steam. And NOBODY had the same idea as us. Ha. Right. What chaos. What madness. At least it makes staying home with your children attractive as an alternative.

These days off are disrupting my workout schedule. NO workout yesterday or today. I'm determined to go Saturday and Sunday now. I have really reached the point where a missed workout just leaves me grouchy and cranky.

Well, reaching the point were missing a work out effects you is good. You may print this and tell Ben that yes I did tell you if you were bored and could find nothing to do you could always clean your room.
I like the having to give up the teachers day for missed snow days, makes sence.
I remember asking your father is he couldn't punish you by telling you " just for that you can't stay in for a week" in stead of not being allowed out.

I feel your pain, except--oh yeah: our snow days last 3 WEEKS! And now after just 2 weeks back at school, a lovely 3-day weekend with the prospect of another in just another couple weeks. Joy...

To bad you don't have a mother who lives in canada. She could sent the ugly snow suilts that never get wet and keep little kids warm outside in chicago for hours, while they slid on church hill and their mother watchs from inside the house.
