Ups and Downs
Throughout the holiday's I have managed to keep by weight pretty stable at 40lbs lost. The odd things is that once I started running I lost another five pounds but then the activities of the holidays contrived to keep me from working out as I had been so I quickly put the five pounds back on once I stopped running. Well, plus I ate like there was no tomorrow. Oh the pies and cakes plus ice cream. But anyway I only regained that extra five pounds lost. No big deal right. Wrong! It seems that while my waist is the last place I lose weight it is the first place I pack it back on to. Great. Now my new pants are all tight and my tummy is pooching over my pants in an uncute way. And yet I weigh the same as when I bought the dang things. Alas, I will have to deal with tight pants for a while now. At least I am back to working out and running again. How quickly we lose that momentum though I can only run ten minutes at a time when I was up to 20 before. Curses. Big lesson learned here though. No more binges. The last thing I want is to be one of those woman with skinny legs and a big tummy.

Don't let the ups and downs get you down. It is weird and vexing how weight resettles in different areas (what's the phase beyond muffin top? Loaf top? Souffle top?? I am in there somewhere....)
Keep up the good work. Sad to say the pundits don't call it a lose until the weight's been off for 5 years (that's a bit unrealistic, isn't it???)
