Recently a terrible tragedy has befallen our little circle here. Our babysitter has been kidnapped and replaced by an identical alien who is bent on destroying the world. Ben has become aware of its evil plans and we have diligently been collecting clues and information to fight this terrible monster. This monster is so deceptive that even her mother and good friends are not aware of the horrible switch. We must rescue Celia from the alien's clutches and expose the evil twin in her place. To do this we have been collecting evidence almost nightly on the destruction it has wrought in our little peaceful neighborhood. The evidence to date has been overwhelming. I diligently document each piece of evidence as Ben looks for clues (Sarina just rides along in her stroller). We have lists and lists of her destruction. For instance, to the unwary the pothole on our street may look like any other but no it is clearly the work of this diabolical monster. To the untrained eye the rotted out wheel well of the truck on the hill would appear to be the result of common rust but our trained monster hunter Ben is not fooled. The horrible bite marks give the monster away.
Do not fear we are on the case and we will save Celia, expose the monster and stop him in his drive to split the world in half!

Oh man! While your son has been solving mysteries, mine has just been working on the delivery of his knock knock jokes (or lack thereof), and coming up with "funny" comments made by cats in funny YouTube videos ("Ouch! That hurt!") Guess we have to get out more often...
you scare me sometimes, Sis!
Ben has been working on his jokes too. Thank God not knock knock.. They are more like "What do call a...." Of course they make no sense to me and then he hounds me to explain why or why not the joke is or isn't funny. Painful, very painful. I can't wait unti they can regale each other with these and leave us alone!
You're in for the long haul: Kyra's jokes at 10 are still only partially successful. Must get her humor from her dad's side...
Clay is also into "knock knock" jokes. Thanks GOD I have Sammi to give him some good ones. Sammi has always been funny. In the 2nd grade the princapil at her school (Female) would sit at her lunch table and they would tell jokes.
Very much like his mother, It is the temper I don't recognize is that from Dad?
although you also had older sisters top help with the jokes and uncle's very close in age who were more then welling to furhish jokes.
Musing,
Who & what are you talking about? Are you refering to Ben? because he doesn't have an older sister. If your refering to Clay...well maybe in the one week you were here you saw something I don't see in my son & my husband.
It thought It was understood that , this was a reference (in fun)to the fact that all good qualiltys of Ben came from his mother and if any negitive ones must of come from his father.
Charyn I am glad you understood this and Caryn or any one else that felt offended I am sorry.
For the record "anyone else" did not feel offended by the comment. But, "anyone else" wonders who else you could possibly be refering to?
My grammer is not perfect and neither is my spellling.
So, if evesryone good beare that in mind when you read comments, I would thank you very much.
I love Charyn's blog,if you are confused by any of my comments feel free to contact me with ?
