Knock! Knock! Who's there?
This morning I got up and made Sarina breakfast. Two eggs, yogurt and cereal plus 4 strawberries. Then I left her with Mark and took my shower. As I got out of the shower I heard frantic knocking on the bedroom door so I call out "Who's there?" and this little voice answers "Hungry!" How can she possibly be hungry? That girl eats. Plus she shrieks to get what she wants. Oh, the shrieking. It is ear piercingly loud. Is this a girl thing? And she absolutely refuses to say please. When ever she shrieks I say "more please" or "eggs please" because the girl just cannot get enough eggs. She just looks at me. So I say "can you say please?" and her response is "NO!" She will not. This morning I refused to give her any of my eggs as I prodded her to say "please" and she refused. She cried and hung on me but she would not say please. Not to save her life. I swear it is a Nepali thing. Please is not used in Nepal as it is your duty and fate to do things. Well not with this Mommy/ I"m determined to stop the shrieking. I'm not sure I'll win this one.
