Ben has been excited about the idea of hooking the bike trailer to his tag-a-long bike and having all three of us take a bike ride. Well today I finally said yes. I thought we could start out by riding up and down our little street just to get used to it and have some entertainment. That said we started off and it actually wasn't that bad. The trailer rolls pretty nice when the tires are fully inflated so we decided to brave the hill and head out for dinner. Of course we did not make it up the hill but we gave it a good try before walking the rest of the way. After a good pant at the top and some water we got on our way. Ben was so excited. He kept yelling "We're doing it. We're doing it!" Then he declared that he was providing pedal power and Sarina was using the switches in the trailer to set off the rockets to help.
Anyway, we made it to our Mexican restaurant, about 1.5 miles away, and then to the library before riding down the big hill and home. I could not resist taking a victory lap around our circle but I had to limit it to one as Ben said he was getting dizzy. So I'm totally psyched now to go for another ride. I thought it would be way harder but aside from the hill it is easy rolling. I get a good work out though. Plus today I also got in my 10k steps so a pretty good day over all. Well, then I ate all my enchilada and beans at dinner as I was a bit out of energy by the time we got there. Still I think I'm ahead for the day.
