How I Love My Children

On Saturday Ben woke up at 6:30 am and proceeded to open all the curtains in my bedroom then he got Baby out of her bed so the two of them could jump on me and demand breakfast. It was a lovely awakening considering I got to bed around midnight as I work late at the bookstore on Friday. It was a pretty cranky day but Ben tried to infuse humor into it by asking me questions over and over again because it is funny to harass Mommy. Oiy!

Later when I was packing both of them into the car as I bent over to buckle Ben in Sarina stuck her fingers up both my nostrils while Ben poked me in the armpit and grabbed a quick feel of my boob. I so hate when they double team me like that but hey at least they were working together instead of at cross purposes.

On Sunday Mark and I got out for lunch and a movie all on our own. Whoohoo. We had a lovely lunch at an Italian place and then caught a matinee of Tropic Thunder. We were the only ones in the theater. What bliss it was. Even though it was an incredibly stupid movie I don't think I've had such a good time in months.

Will Ferrel's not in it? Ok, but how does Ben Stiller keep getting work after Zoolander?

I think his mother and father pay for everything. they were very good in their younger days and probale staked up the money and favors.

Ben Stiller is funny! Stupidly funny but FUNNY. Ok, I did not see Zoolander but Dodge ball was good. He plays a great goof. And how could you not like Will Ferral in Blades of Glory. Hilarious.

I think that I have reached an age where I find myself saying " No they aren't going to do that again". Parts of Taladaga nights I found very funny. Uncle Terry Thinks they are a riot.I do like the flockers very much and night at the musium. always liked his parents when they played together.
love ya

OMG Will Ferril is HILAROUS in anchorman and that race car movie "Ricky Bobby"!! You've got to see it. It's one of my Fav's. Ben Stiller, well his folks are like two of the funniest people EVER! He was great in "Something about Mary" with Cameron Diaz NOW THAT IS A FUNNY MOVIE!

Ok, Something about Mary was hilarious and so was Meet the Parents, but through every film of Ben Stiller's, I have disliked every one of his charactors. In Something about Mary, I was rooting for Brett Favre and in Meet the parents, I was on robert deniro's side all the way. Ben's characters are sooo not likeable to me. He's supposed to be a loveable loser, but I just do not find him loveable.

And Will Ferrel...yuck! I have hated every single character he has ever played. (with the bizarre exception of Elf) To me, his schtick is the characters you want to kick in the groin. His over-acting and blatant idiocy spoil his likeability to me. Take Jim Carrey: a major over-actor, but at least he has comedic timing. Will Ferrel does not. He creates too much awkardness that's supposed to be funny but, to me, is just awkward.

*sigh* I miss the days of good comedians like John Candy and Chevy Chase in his heyday. Will Smith was hilarious when he was doing comedy. He has great timing and facial expression that is not overdone.

Stranger Than Fiction with Will Ferrell is a really cute movie. I'm not a fan of slap stick or gross out comedy, and this movie is neither.
