Under the Weather

I've been a bit sick here lately . Bad cough and nasty nose plus aches, pains and chills. Feels like someone beat my body with a baseball bat. Everytime I cough Sarina sings out "booger! yucky!" On Staurday Mark had to take care of me and then Sunday he got to be sick but Monday I was feeling bad again and I had a marathon Board meeting. We were discussing changes to our English language learners program and so had to have translators at the meeting. Lots of people in attendance. Never had that happen before so it was a bit exciting. It was interesting how the spanish translations seemed so much longer than the original English to me. A bit like the old joke in the movies where a question is asked and the repsonder goes on in a foreign language forever and then the translator just says "no!" Oh how the meeting draggged on into the night and I was shivering from chills and coughing so hard at times i had to leave the room. Lovely. Didn't get to bed until after midnight and had to be up again to by 6:30 to get Ben to school so a slow start to this day. Thank God for Tylenol! Ben is disappointed that we have not been able to ride our bike to school. Maybe tomorrow. It's hard to huff up the hill while coughing.
