The sky was bright blue this morning and the breeze mild so we decided to go to the playtime farm with some friends to have some fun and get our pumpkins. We loaded up the car and headed off and as we traveled east the wind picked up and the sky got darker and darker. By the time we got there I think there were gale force winds, the temperature had dropped ten degrees and as luck would have it the parking lot was pretty much a mud slide. Still undeterred we skated across the parking lot to look at the giant pumpkins, very nice, and then paid our fee to take advantage of the play area with corn maze, fort and corn shooting cannon. We adults stood around and shivered while the children enjoyed the tire park and most of all the duck races which involved water hand pumps to propel the ducks back and forth along their waterways. Very fun but bone chillingly cold to those of us who had to catch the ducks and put them back on their return waterway.
WE convinced the boys finally to try the indoor corn maze so we might have a chance to warm up. There was a corn pit there that was so much fun that both boys wanted to be buried like they were in sand.
After trying all the various fun things we headed off to a nice warm restaurant for lunch. Now we are home doing art. And we never did get our pumpkins.

Sounds like a great day. Maybe as much fun as a Mamo pumkin run.
