We had Sarina's adoption hearing yesterday. It was a simple hearing that lasted only ten minutes but it was rather nice. Both kids were given bears by the judge. I guess a lovely woman donates all the adoption bears to the court. these were special Halloween bears. You can see they have little costumes. Ben named his halloweenie bear and Sarina named hers ....Bubba. Now where she might have heard the name Bubba I will never know. Rather unique for her I think. And sorry to say this is the best picture of all of us together. Oh well. After the hearing Mark had to go to work so we stopped at the farmer's market for muffins and then parted ways.
Today we had an art party for a few friends. The kids made flags for our Fall festival parade on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it. Should be lots of fun. Although I need to find a recipe for chicken chili before then. Not sure what all we will be doing but a parade and some good food should be fun and I'm sure the kids will find a way to entertain themselves and keep us busy for a while.
