So we've been a flurry of getting ready to go to Nepal but Ben has been pretty calm throughout it all. He says he is not excited to go as he will miss his dog and his fish. He also did not want me to tell his teachers that he was going. The other day one of the moms from Mom's group asked him if he was going to be a good big brother and teach his little sister things. He replied "I"m going to teach her to not listen." So not sure what is going on his little mind.
He has once again declared a day to be the best day ever only to be disappointed. Today not only did he have to go to school on the best day ever but he got out his best day ever list out and showed me that he also did not get to "play care-a-te' (I think this is karote) with Sammy, have a snowball fight with Celia or go for a walk with Molly." Then he had to go to the DR's with Mommy to which he stated "Tarter sauce!"
This week has been a struggle to get Ben to go to school as he was off all last week and rather enjoyed it. On Tuesday when I told him he had to go to school he said "I told you not to sign me up for that school. It's just trouble." Today he did not want to go either. I fear when we get back from Nepal we'll never get him back to school after three weeks off.
So on his best day ever Ben also got to go with me to the beauty shop and get his first buzz cut so we can have ease of clean up when in Nepal. Well he did not like getting a buzz cut. He told the hair stylist that it felt like she was hitting him with an elephant's trunk. When she was done he said " Mom can we never come back here again?" Luckily she has a good sense of humor.

OMG, what a funny boy! And Sarina will, no doubt, be a funny girl following in his footsteps. With Ethan, I get a lot of "Hell-o! Duh!", and his latest "Prove it", which of course he's not really clear what it means. He's also been doing a lot of rhyming rap with unfortunate word choices: buck or sock, etc. I do my best to let them pass and not react. So far so good...? OK, so he didn't get that last behavior from his sister.
Oh what a ride you are in for...
He, gets more like you everyday. was Mark also like that as a child?
Sarina, will be manageing him in about 4-6 weeks.
and just how many times has he been hit with an elephants trunk to know what that feels like? ha ha

Ben's haircut is very cute. I got to see the little guy on Friday afternoon just before they left for the airport.
Mark & Charyn are very excited about the whole trip. I am not sure Ben realizes what a long trip this will be. They have packed little treasures for him to enjoy along the way.
