We are a Family

After much waiting, our facilitator was three hours late, we have finally met Sarina and she is with us. What a beautiful sweet girl she is. A charmer who has stolen her Daddy's heart already. When I asked to hold her she just smiled and held up her arms to be taken. She has smiled and tolerated all our touching, prodding and Ben's constant hugging. Ben is over the moon with her. He wants to hug her and feed her and dress her. He actually got mad at me because he had told me earlier that I could change her diapers but he would feed her and I was feeding her.

He has proclaimed his love for her over and over and again and told her that he will always take care of her. And has offered her all of his toys. He is too sweet. He keeps saying he is so happy he is going to explode. He is so gentle with her and wants to share everything. He told her all about his brother EThan so she would know him too! Ahhhhh, the honermoon period is going well.

As for Sarina she is intensely interested in everything, must have some toy in each hand and points at all times. She just keeps pointing and pointing then looking up at me with big eyes until I either give her what she wants or tell her what is called. Oh dear, we are in trouble. She ate so nicely but did not try to feed herself at all. She merely pointed and looked at me until I complied by feeding her.

Well it is late and I left them up in the room all snuggled down but not asleep. She was laying in her bed twisting her head to watch our every move while Ben kept calling out "I love you SArina, sleep tight."

I can only say we are truly blessed today. God has been good to us and we are thankful.

YAY!!!!!! Ben is going to be an awesome big brother! Now we just have to pray the gods of paperwork (who oddly enough in Nepal must be Loki...) that everything goes like clockwork. Although for a country who is off the beaten track timewise, perhaps that wasn't the best chosen sentiment...Hmmm....

Yeah Ben... they're always cute at first. Then they start stealing.

First, mommy and daddy's attention, then the dog, then your favorite toys, then the bathroom, and she'll maybe even date your friends!

But hey, at least you've got first dibs on the family car when you hit 16.

Loving older brother of four sisters,

Charles

Congratulations.

And of course, Sarina is the most truly blessed of all. She's one of the luckiest little girl's in the world right now.

I KNEW IT! She is as sweet as she looks.
Ben is acting like a true BIG Bro....like mikey with sammi. Even if mikey gets mad at sammi he can't stay mad for long...he is so in love with his sister.
Nothing like sibling love...so good of him to include brother Ethan...can't wait to see all of them together. Won't that be a blast for all of you.
Be safe and "snuggle down" for awhile and "just be together".

Love ya

I cry tears of joy for you as I read this fantastic news! I am picturing you there with your daughter and son and it makes me smile.

I have a meeting tonight myself to start a similar process and, as you always have, you give me hope and inspiration. I love you, Charyn, and thank you for being so open about yourself, your family and all you've gone through. I send big hugs for all 4 of you!
