Nepali Time

Sorry I haven't posted but the internet has been down for a day. Time gets away from us here in Nepal. We are having a good time bonding as a family. Ben is so smitten with Sarina or Sarina Sabina which is her Nepali name according to him. He now carries kleenix in his pocket to wipe her nose and wants to do all things with her. They were playing "mess up the room" last night a game that Ben invented. It was cute to see them play together.

Sarina is blossoming. I do believe she says Dada now and she said diaper but not mama. Oh well. She still does not feed herself and she is getting two new teeth. This on top of her cold has been just great. She sleeps alot. The great thing is you can lay her down adn say 'sutnu" (sleep in Nepali) and she lays there and goes to sleep. Ah bliss! She listens very well and is a good girl but is coming out of her shell more and more. Yesterday she threw the remote at me becasue I told her no.

Funny thing. She got hold of the remote and put it right up to her ear. So it is universal.
Even children in third world orphanages are obssessed with phones.

Got to go I"m losing the connection

I am glad evesrthing is going well there. Looking forward to seeing all of you.
I think children are born knowing what will push mom and dad's buttons.
however I have noticed that those who can't stand whinning get screamers and those who can't stand screamers get whiners.
She sure seems to be adjusting well.
Do all nepali children come with colds and stuffy nose's?

It's wonderful to hear that you are all connecting. However you spell her name-your daughter certainly is beautiful and Ben is very creative; what games will he think of today!?

Great stories about the kids. Thanks for taking time out to post little notes.

Sounds like things are going well and you are enjoying each other. How is the paperwork going? Are you still on track to bome home soon?

Love to all.

Who'd've thunk that using a phone was instinctual? Go figure... That would certainly make an interesting topic for research. And on a different level, the remote wars will be much harder once you have 4 people capable of using one.

Do they still have Nick Jr cartoons in Nepali? Though it sounds like the kids are finding ways to amuse themselves without the tube.
