Ke Garne

Finally saw our facilitator after being here almost 24 hours. Turns out today is Democracy DAy so a holiday and we will not get to see Sarina until tomorrow. A great disapppointment. Also a key minister was reassigned and so no one can sign our adoption decree. Yes, we are definately in Nepal.

Spent the day in the hotel's garden. The hotel is packed with adoptive parents from Spain mostly. Only one American family here. They had a great time playing in the garden. So many babies of all ages. They were just so beautiful and I longed to have Sarina join them.

Ben is creating quite a stir which he does not enjoy. But everyine is interested in the little boy who came back! He has taken to shreeking (sp) when people talk to him. I convinced him he could just hide behind mommy. We are making progresss as today he said Namaste to the doorman. But then he Karote chopped our facilitator. Luckily Nepali people think all children are adorable no matter what they do. WEll at least they all pretend to.

The second huge disappointmentr of the day is the my fav bookstore has moved. Sigh. Oh well it is just a longer walk.

Well tomorrow around two we are supposed to go to bring SArina to be with us. For tonight we are still recovering from the trip. My gosh. Two days of basically living in the open in airports or on planes is exhausting. I'm suprised but I actually slept for 8 hours on the plane. Still the time waiting in airports is more draining then sitting on the plane.

More tomorrow after we get our girl. Also to all of you back home I cannot describe to you the pure joy of laying on grass and being surrounded by green and flowery things. Oh the happiness. I didn't know I missed the green so much. It is WARM here! The treees are not in bloom but there are flowers. Oh, the joy of it.

Poor Ben, the celebrity! Oh well, he'll get used to it, probably. What's up with the warming period these boys have anyway? Ethan must hide behind me under my shirt (if he can get away with it) every single time I drop him off at daycare...

Bummer about the delay. Yes, you are truly in Nepal now! And perhaps it will turn out to have been a good thing to rest up before getting Sarina. Silver lining and all...

Thrilled to read that you are in Nepal and that you should have Sarina in your arms very soon. Enjoy the warmth and green grass. We just had another storm - ice followed by snow and it's now -1. Have a wonderful time in K'mandu and safe travels home. Can't wait to meet Sarina. - Laura
