Our little princess

Sarina has been terribly cute and so loveable. She has been just like a little princess. She points constantly and will not feed herself. We've been trying to encourage so we put little tasty morcels on her plate within her reach. She looks at us and arches her eyebrows (too cute for words) and then will point at the food. If WE don't give it to her she gets this look of consternation and then will gently put her finger on the food and gives us a look. Well it turns out that the orphanage does not allow them to feed themselves and we thought she was just spoiled.

the computer has eaten my posts twice now. So this will be short. We are all fine. Sarina is doing great now that she finally had a poopy. She is such a sweetie and a good eater. The other day she wouldn't wake up so we said to her"khan-nees" the nepali word for eat and she woke right up. The other night at dinner she pointed to the buffet and then lifted her shirt and pointed to her belly. She points all the time. Even in her sleep.

Ben continues to be a loving brother and protective. He threatened to send the dr to jail because he made sarina cry. He has really grown in this time and is being very mature. but the trip is hard on him. He misses his friends and his pets. Plus they don't really have foood he likes. He is a trooper though.

Today Ben and I went to Thamel, the big shopping district, and that was an experience. As soon as we got out of the taxi a woman ran up to me with a baby bottle crying "milk for my baby please." Well Christ ssaid " I was hungry and you fed me" nso she led me right into a store to the milk aisle. How much can milk cost you ask. Plenty when you being taken by this woman. It seems there is a whole team of these women running the streets with their baby bottlesa nd whenever they get a hot prospect like me they alert each other and you are tormented to no end. I offered them money but they refused it. So I thought I think Christ would have taken the money.

I better go now. WE hope to sign the adoption decree tomorrow. It looks like we will be here the entire three weeks. Ke Garne?

When we were there we bought a box of Corn Flakes at the department store down the road. They probably still sell a lot of non-perishable snack items. Kyra also had a lot of nuts and orange Mirinda sodas, of course. I asked her what she'd suggest and she asked if Ben liked those spicy Cheetos (as if time stood still for the Yak and Yeti and the bar serves the same snacks nearly 5 years later...) Does the restaurant still have "international" items in their buffet meals? Good luck with that (and I'm sure he'll find something to eat eventually--kids usually won't let themselves starve when there's food available, even if they don't like it).

Glad to hear you guys are still doing well and (more importantly) that the papers will be finalized in the next day or so. I know I will breathe much easier when all the hoops are jumped... Ke garne indeed (Jason is quite taken with that phrase since checking out your blog the other day).
