OMG We're Here!

WE made it here yesterday afternoon. What a long strange trips it's been. I'll have to give the condensed version as prices are high here for computer time.

WE drove to chicago and flew out of O'hare. Of course our flight was delayed. We knew it was a problem when they said we don't know how long it will take to repair but go ahead and get dinner. Yikes. After spending $35 at O'hare for food we arrived in LA staraving at 9:30 at night. Then we were treated to a ride around the city in a taxi, never arrived at our hotel and ended up taking the free airport shuttle from the airport. Don't ask.

The next day we decided to go to the SCience Museum./ We were dropped off at the Music center on the other side of the city. All I can say is this--rent a car when in LA!

Tiger was lost. Tiger was found!

Caught our 18 hour flight to Bangkok. Best investment so far-a $20 camera for BEn. We had a riot at the airport taking people's pictures, following them around and spying and standing at the elevator and surprising people when they got off. Great fun.


Was the 18 flight too long? Yes. But we took everyone's pictures on the plane and did sticker books. Getting the child's meal was a bad idea. Ben slept through two meals anyway.

Did the choice of what book to bring really matter when I ddin't read more than one hour the entire trip? Thank God I was lugging three books around.

Thailand is the mystery to me. The Thai airplanes are the best to fly on. The food is great, they're clean, smell nice and you get fantastic service. All very deceptive because when you get tot he airport you are in a prison camp once you pass the secured areas. No food, no watrer. My husband insisted on getting to the gatge when we had 4 hours before our flight. It was lovely.

WE made it to Kathmandu! Ben said he was so excited he was going to explode. He is so excited that we will be seeing SArina today. WE slept for 18 hours I think and we are ready to go today.
