At a Standstill

So I went to work all excited. I checked my pedometer in the parking lot and I had over 10K steps already. I was really looking forward to a banner day. Then I get into work and find that I was assigned to cashier for the whole evening. Usually I get at least two hours on the floor but not so last night. As a result I only logged 2000 steps. Huge bummer. One problem with the pedometer has been that getting to 10k has not really taken any special effort on my part. I guess I pretty much do that each day. Nice to know but I think I'm going to have to set some new goals.
