Falling In Love

Bed time is my Sarina time. I get her all ready and make her a bottle. Then we settle down in the rocking chair for some one-on-one time. It is very satisfying. She looks up into my eyes and smiles. She makes little contented noises. She offers me her hand to kiss. She really loves for me to kiss her hand. That is funny to her. I must kiss it over and over again. Last night she was very playful and did not want to snuggle down and go to sleep. No she wanted to play. She kept squirming and giggling. Finally she grabbed me by the face and planted a big wet smacker on me. Her first real kiss! Oh, that was hilarious. She just laughed and laughed. She is so fun. She likes to explore my face and poke my nose and my glasses. Always the glasses. Then she has to poke at my teeth and mouth. I remember this as a younger age thing with Ben but I think it is a very important part of our bonding.

Just like Ben she has a lock on her bottle. There is no way I"m getting it away from her until she has drained it dry. And she enjoys it so much. Unlike Ben she can make the bottle last a long time. Enjoying each little sip. Ben would drain it dry as fast as he could. Not her. She sips and then seems to sleep and then sips some more and plays a little. She also would like to sleep with the bottle. She tries to tuck it under her arm for later I guess. I take it away from her though.

Yes, I rock her to sleep. I know, they tell you not to. Yes, I'm sure I'll regret it when she is too big but doesn't every child deserve to rock with their mommy. Besides it is so nice to hold her when she is sleeping. It's such a nice time for both of us.

Well they're both asleep so I guess I'll read my book.

yes, evey child deserves to rock with their mommy and when she is to big to hold you can lay beside her and rub her back or just sit in her room and read her a book.
