So yesterday we sat down to snack. I with my meager three melba toast crackers, otherwise known as Styrofoam with spices on it and an apple. My children had a lovely selection of hummus and whole wheat crackers but what did they want. Yes! My melba toast. So I was reduced to only two crackers. At lunch today I got a bowl of soup and a dinner roll plus one pack of saltines. Let me just say I was looking forward to my saltines with my soup but Ben proclaimed that we should all share. I ended up with one third of a roll and one saltine. I was really cranky about it too. I was all "you guys don't need my crackers and roll you have fries!" Really sharing is over rated in my opinion. Why do we teach our children to share anyway? Then Ben didn't eat his hamburger and I had to fight mightily to not take a bite. Damn them and damn Carl. Damn! Damn! Damn!
I've had to start a new exercise regimen as Sarina has only pooped once yesterday and only once so far today. Hurrah for less laundry but now I don't get that stair master workout. And let me just say that if anyone thinks that I will be jogging up and down the stairs anytime soon they are absolutely nuts. I did some major walking today. Dropped Ben off at school and got the stroller out to walk to the Library. A good walk there and back. Then Ben wanted to ride his bike to lunch so we walked to the Clovers (Culvers) and back. One reason I was really cranky about those saltines. Plus we did a nature walk and craft at the library so more walking.
Sarina is now napping and Ben is doing a project. If anyone needs an idea for Ben's bday a good one would be craft projects. He thinks up some craft project everyday now. Today he cut up the plastic lid from his drink and glued it to paper along with other things. He is now going to tape it up in the living room. So an excellent gift for him would be a box of glue sticks as he tends to go through one stick per project somehow. Plus loads of tape. One thing I was thinking of getting was a clear plastic frame you can hang and change the art in and out of easily. This way he can hang his art and then I can change it out every other day. Sometimes our wall in the living room looks like a very disorganized gallery.
