Week four was a good week in a lot of ways but not in weight loss. I maintained my weight but did not lose. This despite binging twice. Ok, binging isn't exactly the right word. I had popcorn at the movie and a chocolate malt. That's it for bad behavior. I found that many times during the week I had forgotten to have my snack and didn't notice until meal time when I felt more hungry. Hurrah! Did not eat to make up for the missed snack either. So why no weight loss. Who knows. That is how it goes. My sister can breath a sigh of relief that I have not had any unhealthy weight loss this week. One good thing with three small meals and two snacks is that I do control my eating better but also I seem to be calmer and have more patience with the kiddos. And I really need patience lately. More on that later.
One of my SIL's has put out a get fit challenge to the family. As my secret weapon in this challenge I picked up a copy of Kathy Smith's new book "Feed Muscle, Shrink Fat Diet." Ha, they'll never know how I am having such great success. Her diet is an eating style that is pretty easy to follow. Unfortunately she has two inductions weeks where she wants you to eat certain menus. That is just not going to happen. I don't care how yummy and tasty her egg white frattatas are I do not have time to get two kids up, dressed and fed while making them. And planning a dinner menu each night depends more on how whiny my children are then anything else. Granted I could prepare meals during Sarina's nap but when would I blog, surf the net and read books! No, the good thing is that she does have yummy simple and I mean simple recipes and her diet is basically what I've been doing so far anyway. Three small meals and two snacks. So technically I've already had four induction weeks in my opinion. I've curbed my cravings and jump started my weight loss. HURRAH! Why did I buy the book? Well the recipes are great but also she really shows you how to put together menus that are loaded in protein, fiber and vitamin C, her muscle building trilogy I suppose you could call it. I see that I've been a bit heavy on the carbs and will have to cut back there but mostly I've been doing ok. Plus there are exercises to do. I really need to get on that. Exercise I mean. Not much beyond walking going on so far. That and gardening. I'm happy to announce that I have all my bushes planted. I can't say that all of them are still alive but they are planted! Now I need to keep digging the hill and the other bed and fill my containers and.....well the list does not really end.

Seems like I have seen a set of mother/child exersises on the internet, but do not remember where.
I think it was while I was looking up things for a class.
