Benism Too

Today we got up early due to a very important phone call that I will blog about later. Not "The Call" but almost as good. I was dragging this morning as the call came at 6am so I suggested Ben and I go out for a bike ride/run. Well we did a couple of races and I actually won which doesn't usually happen when I'm running and he's riding so Ben said "Mommy, I think I should be in front because I'm the fastest and the fastest always goes in front so in the next race you should let me go first." Which makes perfect sense in Ben's world.

Later we were going to meet the Mom's Club at the mall for a walk around. There is a mall nearby that everyone uses to walk. No one ever appears to actually be shopping there. Which may explain why half the stores have closed. I told Ben we were meeting our friends at the mall and he asked if they were his school friends and I said no, they were with the Mom's club and he replied, "Oh, those are my extra friends."

Last night I was sitting in the living room peacefully reading a book while my hubby cooked homemade roti and other yummy nepali dishes from our new "Taste of Nepal" cookbook when Ben yelled out "Help Mommy the tv has gotten all shriveled up and not big!" I was like "WHAT!" So I go to the family room and somehow he has gotten the tv guide on the screen and the picture part is up in the corner of the screen. That boy is always pushing someones buttens.

Just got back from delivering Christmas candy with Ben. He wanted to have a candy sale today but I convinced him it would be better to just put the candy in people's mailboxes. He is such an entrepreneur since I told him people earn money to buy things. And he is very keen to buy things. So the protocol when we deliver candy is to sneak up to people's houses and quietly place the candy in the mailbox. He agreed to this after he found out I cannot go down chimneys. The key is to not be heard. He thought it would be a good idea to take a picture of the door at the same time but then remembered that "doors don't smile so that would be silly."
