After school today Ben's friend Sammy, or should I say his BEST friend Sammy because Sammy is the end all and the be all of friends, asked him to come to the pet store with him to look at crabs and fish and other crawling/swimming beasts. Sammy and Ben have been friends since they were two and it's been a rocky relationship (lots of biting and declarations of pure hatered that lasted a good 5 minutes on a bad day) but now they've hit a groove and they just love to play together. Sammy has a side kick, Riley, who travels with him as they are both watched by Sammy's grandmother who is an amazing woman as well as being a good friend to me.
All three boys, one baby, a grandma and I went off to the PetSmart to look at the animals. OMG, we terrorized the place. They were good at first and then while watching the fish the filters all blasted water at once for some reason and Riley yelled "A blow hole" and they just went off. They were yelling "blowhole!" and grabbing each other and falling to the floor laughing. Everytime the "blowhole" went off they started again. They just got so riled up. It was too funny. The store really should have thrown us out at that point but they were tolerant for some reason. We got the boys up and quieted after Ben smacked his head on the floor on about the fifth group hug/tackle. Well the shopping expedition really started to go downhill so we grabbed the dog food we needed and tried to get out of Dodge but at the door they started doing their puppy pile again. They were all pushing and shoving each other so I yelled at Ben to stop and he yelled "Damn It!" Really loud. The noise level went from 30 decibles to about zero at that point and I was just stunned. We all were just looking at him and he said "Damn It! I didn't say it to them Mommy I said it to you." I have to admit I was rather speechless and fumbled around for something to say about bad words when Riley said, "Ben isn't my favorite friend to play with anymore." Ben got mad and said "I didn't say Damn it to you Riley, I said it to my Mommy." As if that made it all alright. So we got in the car and had a long talk about powerful words that hurt and bad words. Of course you have to wonder where he heard such an word and oh, who should we look to. Hmmmmmm...who could it be?

Damn those neighbor kids.... lol.
Yes, it must be them because he would never hear that in our household! NEVER, Damn it!
The blowhole will be remembered longer by you and the Damn it by him
