Bringing Sarina Home

Lately we've been reading books about adoption and "Bringing Asha Home" is one book that we've gotten several times from the library. It's about a boy who is waiting for his sister who is being adopted from India. He makes paper airplanes and imagines the flight to India. When they get "THE CALL" he chooses his best paper airplane and places it in his father's suitcase for his sister. Well, tonight at dinner Ben told me I needed to start writing down how to take care of Sarina when she comes home. I was a bit confused and then I realized that he was talking about all the lists I've been making to get me organized with the packing. I said I know how to take care of Sarina I just need to know what to bring when we go to get her. I asked him what he wanted to bring to Kathmandu and he said "I need some paper, I'm going to make Sarina a paper airplane to bring her home." So that was my mommy "Ah, what a sweet child" moment for the day.
