Alert Stand Down

OK, I love all of you very much. I know that you are trying your best to get us home. However, talking to the media is not going to help that. I know you are all well intentioned but we do not wish to go public to the media at this time. WE are working through the US Embassy. I am in daily contact with them. They have been very helpful and will get us through this and home to you soon. Yes, we are frustrated. And we really do appreciate that you are angry for us and willing to do anything to help. But please do not give personal information about our family to any news media. If you talk to them at all tell them that there are many families waiting here and many more waiting to have their files signed.

A little background here on Nepal politics. Right now Nepal is going through their first democratic elections. There is alot of tension here in the country and most of the government has turned their attention to making sure that the elections are fair and nonviolent. The government is trying to get adoptions done and spread their limited resources to election issues at the same time. That has made for long delays. But they are trying. Do not be concerned about rioting Tibetans. That has no effect on us and we are not in danger of any kind.

Again, I'm sorry I have not called to let you all know that we are doing fine. I love you all and appreciate your efforts. I hope to be home soon laughing about all of this with you.

If anyone from the media is reading this, I understand that you want to help but we publish here our private thoughts for our family. One can argue that the internet is not private. I cede the argument but I ask you respectfully to respect our privacy. Thank you.
