All the hotel staff here at the yak and yeti are very friendly and especially love the children. They often want to hold the babies and click thier tongues at them while holding out their arms to hold them. Our little Sarina would go to anyone. When she is not pointing her finger at something she is holding her arms up to held. She follows Mark around constantly with her arms up. Oh the smile when you pick her up. So today the housekeeper held out her arms to pick up Sarina and Sarina hit her and ran to me with her arms up! Hurrah, she knows I'm Mommy! Today she laid on the bed and stqred into my eyes while holding my hand until she fell asleep. A lovely moment that I will pay for later when like Ben she cannot go to sleep without Mommy there in the room. Ah well, worth every moment I will spend sitting in a rocking chair waiting for her to sleep later. Hopefully she and Ben will share a room when we get home and I will only have to sit in the chair in one room not both! My fear is that they will take over our room since they are used to sleeping in the same room as us now.
Living in a hotel for two weeks will do strange things to you. We have taken to hoarding things and hiding them from the staff. We've got quite collection of plates and silverware now, although I would kill for a bowl. Nepali take away, as they call it, does not come with plastic silverware. In fact, I don't think anything is disposable in this country. Everything is reused. One of the most treasured items is a wash cloth. We are alloted two a day, some days we get none and other rare days we get three. I have to wash my face with the same cloth that I wipe the dirty nose faces with everyday. Yuck. Today I caught Mark about to wipe the dresser with a clean cloth and I yelled at him. He laughed and said "didn't you know I've been hoarding wash clothes. They're next to the safe." Yes, they are that valued.
One other trick to survival is to trade with the other parents. Right now I'm trying to get some ibuprofin. No luck so far. But with various illnesses going around someone is going to need to trade tylenol for Motrin soon. I hope anyway.

Precious...you make me laugh almost every time. The mommy posts very creative daily events. Thanks again for sharing. I enjoy reading them soooo much. My suggestion to Mark to wipe the dresser--use a sock. Keep the wash cloths safely with the bananas!
Hoping you enjoy your day, Glo
My very special Charyn,I am sooooo!!! happy for you and that the bonding is going well.

Every morning I start up my computer and go to your blog first to see if there are new postings about your adoption adventure in Napel. What a treasure every moment must be for the FOUR of you.
May the Lord continue to bless you with good health, good cheer and many precious moments.
Yay for hitting the maid! ...Man, the things we say as parents.
Good bonding, mom! Rest assured that both children and you will fall asleep separately one day (unless they both end up living with you guys until they are in their 30s, like Jason reported he heard that some Italian men do. Hmmm....
It's only just begun...someday you'll both flop down on the bed to talk about her going to college or her first boyfriend etc. She trusts you...it feels good doesn't it :)
(Hopefully college comes BEFORE the boyfriend but with eyes like hers I doubt it.)
Love you guys or should that be y'all
Be careful! If your children keep trying to beat everyone up over there, you may not be invited back very soon. ha ha
