So today did not go well. We did not get our file signed before the Secretary left for his trip so that means a minimum of ten more days. Unfortunately we are not convinced they (being the committee chair) will sign the file before he gets back so that he will sign it. It is a very confusing story. There is no problem with our file. The chair of the committee despite all the pleading from three governments and many parents and facilitators simply refuses to sign the files. We are caught in some political play he has going on and truly we have no insight into what he wants.
The only good news today is that I met three other American families with the same problem. At least we have company in our misery. Or at least I will. Mark and Ben are planning to go home on Wednesday and I will stay with Sarina until the bitter end.
On Sunday I will go to the Ministry again when they plan to meet. I will sit there until he explains why he will not sign my file. Wish me luck!

I wish you all weren't so far away -- you'd have a bus load of people sitting there on Sunday with you. If there is anything at all that I can do, please let me know. If I could, I'd be on the next plane to Katmandu. I love you all!

Oh man! That I'd just not right. Poor Charyn! Poor Ben! Poor Mark... I'm sure you have this covered, but you do have a power of attorney just in case?
Well I'm glad you found some kindred spirits, and of course POed about the circumstances. Fingers crossed it all gets resolved sooner rather than later.

I took the first 4 of you to court when dad got at ticket and they felt so sorry for us and the other people were making supportive comments that they voided the ticket.
I know a ticket is not the same but a loving bonded family should count for something.

Is it possible for you to get an international phone so that you can contact family in am emergency?
Does your facilitator have any suggestions on how others can help?

Gosh! We are so sorry that you are going through this. Is there anything that you need or want that we can send to your hotel? Wash clothes, special items that you cannot get over there. My prayer is that the Lord is providing peace and joy for you in this time of need. I am also praying that He will touch the hearts of those that can change this situation for you. I pray that you will be leaving for home soon with your precious baby daughter.
I do not know the why about this situation in your life, but I do know these things have a meaning and that ultimately the Lord will work it toward good in your life. There must be something about you and Serina that is powerful in the future and this trial is a part of that future.
Try to find Christians who will pray with you if possible, it is very powerful and soothing. Don't be bashful about asking people to pray with you.
Please post often.
