Garden of Dreams

Went to a beautiful garden today not far from our hotel It is a lovely tranquil spot in the heart of the city. Don't know how we missed it last time. Both Mark and I agreed it would be the perfect place to go without children. It has a little cafe and a bar area all in this walled two acre garden. Lots of ponds with Koi and beautiful flowers. The jasmine was in bloom and so very fragrant. We are experiencing spring here and the trees are getting fuller everyday and more flowers are blooming. It is in the 80s now most days and the Nepalis are just starting to shed their winter coats although they still wear light jackets and hats. They must think us insane the way we sweat in our short sleeves. They definately disapprove of how lightly our children are dressed. I saw a poor child in a snow suit today! It had to be 85 out.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a big day for us. The Ambassador is hosting a party, scheduled awhile ago, to honor all the key players in adoption for working so hard to get adoptions done in such a short time. Unfortunately, they are not done so as we five American families plus other foreign families can attest to. I had hoped that shame would spur them to meet and sign our file but it is 9pm here and they only have tomorrow before the meeting so I'm thinking once again they won't sign. After tomorrow I'm going to step up the campaign again. Wish me luck. I'll let you know if there is anything you can do.

Hope all goes well at your special meeting.

So there are 5 American families. How many foriegn families do you think there are and where are they from?

Gather as much infor as you can; it will be helpful if we need to contact the press and legislators.

Love ya and blessings upon ya.

Glad you all found such a lovely place to spend some time together.
I think about you all the time. GOD is getting an "earfull" of prayers from down here.
Make sure you let us know what we can do to help. You and Mark can handle alot I know so just know we are here in "the real world" with "real resources" to help.

Love all of you,
Caryn
