Ok, I'm not exactly sure when we will be home but we are starting out tomorrow, Wednesday. We will spend one night in Bangkok and who knows how many in LA. It is rather oddd to think of being home Almost as if I don't recall what it feels like to live in my home. To be in a room by myself. Oh to just think of such luxery. I cannot wait and I miss my Molly dog so much.
Everything is going well here. We pick up Sarina's visa tomorrow and then rush to the airport. Should be exciting. Everything has gone so fast since we got the decree signed. Some Nepali Ministries work quite well. And our US Embassy has been awsome.
Well I have to pack. You won't hear from me until we hit LA.

I recall reading earlier that you were looking for ways to show your appreciation to the Embassy staff. Might I suggest that when you get home, you write a letter to the US Ambassador in Nepal commending his staff; particularly naming those individual staffers that went 'above and beyond' for you.
Unsolicited letters of commendation and appreciation play a positive roll during a Government Service (GS) employee's annual Performance Appraisal Review (PAR). And good PARs equate to year-end pay bonuses or pay increases for worthy employees.
In addition, enclosing a nice picture of you, Mark, Ben and Sarina would be a nice personal touch that would be appreciated by all who helped and surely would find its way to all the appropriate desks in the embassy.
I have literally written thousand of such letters over the course of my career and would be glad to provide a template if you'd like.

I am so glad you are finally going home. Heck, we may be back from vacation by then and get to see you in CHGO.
Kathie said she would watch this site so that she could tell Bry when you will be back. So, keep posting because we do not get back until the 2nd of April.
