Everybody Must Get Stoned

Today is a holiday here, Shivaratri, the celebration of Shiva's wedding to Pavrati. They celebrate by smoking pot and drinking. Even the children are said to get stoned. I'm bummed that we are not going to the main Shiva temple for this. Anyway, Mark and I are wondering if the High Holy day or holy dfay high, whichever you prefer, will put the Ministry more in the mood to help us or less. Will they arrive for work silly from too much pot and full of largess or badly hungover and surly. Whatever the case the Embassy will call on the undersecretary tomorrow and request that he sign our file. We have two signatures to get now. One from the Legal secretary, unfortunately he was reassigned and they never replaced him or did they? And one from the undersecretary from the Ministry and he leaves for a trip on Saturday. I think he will sign. The legal is the big unknown. There are rumors one will be assigned this weekend. Possibly friday who knows.

I'm not sure if I explained this but it seems our file was put in the wrong pile and erroneously marked as signed when it was flagged for an imagined problem which we have finally cleared up. I think oddly this is a blessing. The committee seems determined to stop all work until after the elections. Had we not traveled I don't believe we would get our file signed until April sometime. The Lord works in mysterious ways sometimes.

In the worse case scenerio we will have to wait until the undersecretary gets back from his trip on the 18th and then go through the process. Not a pleasant prospect to us. Mark may then bring Ben home and I will travel home with Sarina later.

So pray pray pray that we sign the adoption decree by Sunday!

Pot, bananas, wash cloths, Mt. Everest, Ke Garne...This chapter in your life is a powerful testimony of your commitment, dedication and love to your precious daughter. Knowing that GOD loves Sarina and you, HIS daughter WILL be with you. My prayers continue that you stand strong and know that GOD is with you all.
Love and peace, Glo

Man, I'd HAVE to be stoned to deal with this mess you're going thru!

Seriously?! I'm thinking I should write CBS and suggest they look into Nepal as their next location. I can't imagine a challenge being as hard as navigating the red tape of adoption....

Fingers and toes crossed that you get signatures this weekend.

You should record everythng in their baby books and then publish them as a guilde to adoption in nepal.
It may be part of your mission in life to figure out ways to avigate the adoption process and then help others.
Sounds like you.
Love ya

Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.

EAT YOUR BANANA'S another tidbit from my late email

Oh my, I haven't been reading lately, just a tad busy with the little one, and I'm so sorry. I'm sending good thought and prayers your way that your file will be signed soon. Hang in there.
On a side note, I haven't killed Ben's fish, yet.
