Hurrah! We stormed the Ministry today and demanded that they give us our adoption decree. Ok, it wasnt' that dramatic, more that we wandered around saying "I know my file is signed the Embassy told me." We sat outside people's offices until they directed us to the next office to sit outside of. It was very interesting. We could tell that very excited phone calls were being made. Then the legal guy said he would sign our decree for us! Yes, after two hours of random wandering and vague threats of staying all day or coming back they folded. Who knew!
So tomorrow is of course a holiday. Of which there are 130 official holidays here. It is a great one where you go around spraying people with red dyed water in honor of someone who burned up. Anyway, should be fun. On Sunday we go for our travel documents and then for our US Visa.
WE will keep you posted. Tonight we celebrate.
